Molybdenum Cow

In Medical Physics a "Molybdenum Cow" is used to supply the radioactive "meta stable" isotope of Technetium for use in radio-imunoassay. The quantity of Tc99m depends on the decay curves of the parent isotope (Mo99 and the decay rate of Tc99m.
A school suitable source behaving in the similar method Cs137 decaying to Ba137m may be used as a direct analogy.
A water analogy may also be constructed not requiring additional radioisotopes to be held. Techknow forum members may wish to help create a suitable protocol on the members' only area.

The water analogy is very difficult to set to give good (that is showing a clear analogy) flow rates. It is not suggested as a good alternative at this stage.
